Call for Participation
16 January, 2013
The calls for proposals and reviewers for the 22nd UXPA International Conference (UXPA2013) are OPEN! Join us in Washington, DC in July 2013 - submit your proposal now at http://uxpa2013.org/submit.
The UXPA International Conference is the one and only place for UX practitioners to be inspired, learn, make friends and exchange business opportunities with UX professionals from around the world. Don’t miss out!
We’re excited about our conference theme: COLLABORATION
This year, we focus on the many ways we can work together to be more than the sum of our parts. We will explore the collaborative relationships, techniques, and team-oriented practices that enrich the UX profession and the experiences we create.
The conference program will provide inspiration through talks, events, and shared experiences that explore the topics of cooperation, alliances, teamwork and partnership in and around the UX field. Attendees will leave UXPA 2013 with practical tools to apply immediately in their collaborative project teams.
CALL FOR PROPOSALS
We are seeking proposals on UX design and research with an emphasis on collaboration. As always, we're open to other relevant topics as well.
Questions we’d like to hear about in your proposals include, but are not limited to:
We welcome proposals for 60-minute presentations, idea markets, Ignite sessions, panels, peer-reviewed papers, posters, tutorials, and workshops. Proposals may be geared toward novice or advanced practitioners or a more general audience. In honor of holding the conference in the US capital, we also seek submissions with a governmental angle for a special Government track.
We’re happy to provide all the support you need. If English is not your first language, if you’re unsure about how to write a killer proposal or if you’d like to improve your presentation skills – we’re here to help.
CALL FOR REVIEWERS
There is a great need for reviewers to assess the submissions' quality and suitability for the conference. In addition to the great feeling of satisfaction they get by providing this valuable service, reviewers also get the chance to learn about some of the newest findings in the field before the conference. Please take a moment to let us know which session types and topics you are most interested in reviewing by completing the brief survey at http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/UXPA2013Reviewer.
Have questions or need more information? Please visit http://www.uxpa2013.org or send us an e-mail [email protected].
The submission deadline is 06 February 2013.
We thank you for your consideration, and we look forward to seeing you in Washington, DC!
